The free scan

Your scan answers are processed only to generate the result in that request. They are not saved, attached to your email, or sent to analytics.

Do not enter account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, or tax documents. The scan asks only for categories, ranges, and the few exact totals needed to evaluate published thresholds.

First-party analytics

The site records page paths, a random session identifier kept in your browser tab, referring hostname, campaign or advertising click parameters in the URL, approximate country, screen width, coarse browser/operating-system/device type, performance, errors, engagement, and scan completion or failure.

The address used to reach the site is converted immediately to a keyed one-way value for abuse control and traffic deduplication. The raw address and raw browser user-agent string are not stored. No email address or scan answer is placed in analytics, and ordinary visitors receive no analytics cookie.

Information you choose to give us

Joining the waitlist stores your email address, language, consent version and time, and limited campaign attribution so we can send the availability notice you requested and evaluate the experiment. It does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing or permit referral sharing.

Feedback stores the message, category, language, and optional contact email you submit. Privacy requests store the contact information and details needed to fulfil the request.

Paid service

The paid service is not open yet. If approved, it will store the questionnaire, frozen report versions, payment and entitlement evidence, review history, access events, and authenticated support requests. Stripe handles card details; Clear Abroad does not store them.

A paid report is available only to the verified account bound to the exact checkout email, after payment settlement and recorded human review. Full refunds and disputes revoke access after Stripe confirmation.

Use, sharing, and retention

Information is used only to operate, secure, measure, support, and improve this product, and to meet accounting or legal obligations. We do not sell it. A future introduction to an accountant would require separate, specific consent.

Anonymous scan answers disappear with the request. Measurement events are deleted after 13 months. Waitlist records are deleted after 12 months. Classified feedback, completed privacy requests, and experiment exclusions are deleted after 24 months; unresolved requests remain until handled. Other information is kept only for security, dispute, accounting, or legal needs and can be exported, corrected, or deleted where applicable. Exact paid-service retention periods will be approved and published before payment opens.
